SLIDING WAX

It is a grease that is used as an auxiliary material in mandrel manufacturing, as it facilitates the lubrication of the winder that the cardboard is rolled on to obtain the tube (mandrel).

This winder needs to be well lubricated in order to prevent the metallic materials becoming corroded. If this is not done, there will be surface irregularities that will slow the process down. At the same time, the exact diameter of the winder will start to decrease, producing mandrels that have a slightly larger diameter than expected.

This would lead to an error in the later process, when the final product is rolled on the mandrel.
